What information do we collect?

The information we collect is required for the purpose of completing and managing your villa reservation and any additional services. Such information allows you to be identified as a customer of Sontaya Sunset Villas, and includes:

  • Name, nickname, date of birth, gender, nationality, registered address, National ID, or Passport Number (or any other identification document number), telephone number, photograph images or recordings from CCTV

Other information that may be collected:

  • Financial information – billing address, credit card number, cardholder’s name, credit card details
    Transaction information – details of purchases and reservations of goods and services

  • Behavioral information- services that you are interested in through your purchases, preferences, opinions, complaints, inquiries, suggestions, and survey responses

  • Social media information – through interaction with our social media accounts such as LINE, Instagram, and Facebook

  • Health information – in relation to accidents or medical emergencies on premise, or injuries or medical conditions that you feel would be appropriate to inform us of

  • Electronic Information – such as email communication data information from logs, device identifiers and computer IP addresses. The Company collects information through cookies (Cookies) or other similar technologies. Also, browser information and other details on the devices the Personal Data Subject uses to access the Company's websites, applications, and other communication channels, such as the history of visits, searches, and interactions of the Personal Data Subject with the Company's websites.

 

How do we use this information?

We will use your personal information to provide you with the services, products, or information that you have requested, for administration purposes, contractual obligations, service evaluation, payments, invoicing, and marketing. We may need to share your information with our service providers, associated organizations and agents for these purposes.

We may use your information for:

Business Operations

  • Process your reservation, booking application and payments

  • Issue tax invoices

  • Carry out identity checks at the villas

  • Provide relevant services to you

  • Understand how you use our services by carrying out research and statistical analysis through our database to help us develop relevant and updated services, and business plan development

  • Work with our business partners in offering relevant products at our facility(s)

Communications

  • Keep you informed about our services and operational matters relating to your reservation, booking and additional requested or booked services

  • Respond to enquiries, and feedback

  • Confirm bookings

  • Contact you when you win giveaways or prizes

  • Manage communications of products and services

Security

  • Maintain security within the building and premises – View our CCTV policy

  • Prevent and detect fraud or other crimes

Marketing

  • Share photos or videos and event photos or videos on our social media platforms. Photos or videos are only taken with prior permission.

  • Contact you based on our analysis of how you use our services and what we think will be relevant to you (unless you choose not to receive our marketing messages)

Collection of Minor’s Data

Should a minor be below the age of 10 years, the legal guardian is required to consent to the collection of the information necessary to manage a booking or additional requested services as stated above.

 

How long do we store the information?

Sontaya Sunset Villas will keep your data as long as you have an active booking or reservation request. Following inactivity, as necessary to meet legal requirements including financial audits, anti-fraud, and money laundering regulations. We will store your information for no longer than 10 years from the last activity on the account.

Will my information be disclosed to other parties?

We will only use or disclose your personal information for the purposes stated, or by requirement of law.

The following persons or agencies may have access to portions of your information, only as required for business operations that have been stated above:

  • Employees, directors, manager and personnel of Sontaya Sunset Villas only the essential roles)

  • Partners, business partners, agents or service providers

  • Suppliers

  • Law enforcement agencies

In case necessary, the Company has the right to send or transfer your personal information to other people abroad. In the transmission or transfer of personal information to such persons in foreign countries, The Company will ensure that such persons have adequate personal data protection standards and follow the rules prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Committee or the rules prescribed by Thai law

Withdrawal of consent: You have the right to withdraw consent for Sontaya Sunset Villas to process personal data to which you have your consent. Sontaya Sunset Villas will notify you of the effects of such revocation. Such revocation of consent will not affect the use, disclosure, or processing of data for which you have previously given consent.

Access: You have the right to ask for the personal information that we hold about you.

Rectification: Should you feel that the information that we hold of you is inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, please contact us at hello@krabirental.com

Erasure: You have the right to the erasure of the data we hold of you when it is no longer needed for the business purposes as our customer or guest (and we have no other lawful basis to hold your data). Sontaya Sunset Villas will notify you of the effects of erasure.

Restriction: You have the right to request that Sontaya Sunset Villas restricts the use of your personal data when it is no longer required for business reasons, compliance or legal claims.

Portability: You have the right to have the company transfer personal data to another personal data controller through automated means.

Objection: You have the right to object to data processing of your personal data for direct marketing or profiling purposes.

Profiling: You have the right to file complaints with the relevant agencies if the company violates or fails to comply with the law on personal data protection.

CCTV Privacy Policy

Introduction

Sontaya Sunset Villas has installed and uses CCTV to record images, animation, or sound for the purpose of surveillance and security in the external grounds and surrounding areas of our villas.

Our CCTV operates 24 hours daily and is strategically placed that are deemed appropriate to be installed.

We will never install CCTV in regions that may infringe on your privacy more than necessary, such as internal areas including bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms or kitchen.

  • Video or still images of your property, eg: Vehicles, bags, clothing etc.

How do we use this information?

Sontaya Sunset Villas uses the CCTV footage for:

  • Security

    • Monitor unauthorized access

    • Maintain security for all visitors to the properties, grounds and their belongings

    • Prevent damage, disturbance, or destruction of our property

    • Prevent or resolve disputes that may arise

    • Detect and deter misconduct or crime

    • Support government agencies in the event of illegal actions

  • Safety

    • Reviewing incidents and injuries that may occur on our property

The CCTV is recorded and is not accessed live unless Sontaya Sunset Villas deems it necessary to view due to a live risk to security or safety as detailed above.

 

Legal Proceedings

Support the establishment of rights or to raise defenses in civil and criminal proceedings

 

How long do we store the information?

Sontaya Sunset Villas stores all CCTV footage for a maximum of 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted.

We will only hold the CCTV footage longer than the stated period in the event of disputes, criminal or lawful proceedings.

Will my information be disclosed to other parties?

We will not disclose it to others, except when necessary to be able to perform any act to achieve the objectives stated in this announcement. Examples of which are:

  • Law enforcement agencies

  • Health service providers

  • Security service providers

Your Privacy Rights
